Public — what happened
Summary
Pitt Digital has identified a device-level issue affecting some users' ability to sign in to Microsoft 365 apps, which are otherwise operating normally. Microsoft has begun enforcing minimum operating system requirements for these apps, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, on outdated devices. To fix this, update your device to a supported OS (Android 14+, iOS/iPadOS 17+, macOS 14+, or Windows 11) or, as a workaround, use Microsoft 365 web apps (m365.cloud.microsoft/apps). For assistance, visit a Drop-In Support location (Hillman Library and University Store on Fifth) or contact the Technology Help Desk at +1-412-624-HELP (4357).
